Introduction : We are living in the age of science. Science has given us many wonderful things. We use this things. We use this things in our daily lives. Technology is the application of scientific knowledge to achieve practical ends. The word technology come from two greek words Techne and Logos. Techne means skull or manner or art and Logos means study. Technology includes internet, computer, mobile etc. We are surrounded by technology in our daily lives. Science and technology have made our lives easier.
Types of technology : There are six main types of technology. They are mechanical technology, medical technology, electronic technology, communication technology, industrial technology and manufacturing technology. The positive side of technology is that it is valuable and useful that we cannot live without it. The negative side of technology is that we have changed to much because it existence.
Internet : Internet is a very important for such as online education, job searching, sopping and banking, work from home, recharge, bills and payment, fast communication, endless entertainment, selling products, booking etc. Internet provides us a high quality learning opportunity and improves students skill.
Science and Technology : Science and technology are related not only because technology is an application of science but also because technology can be use to do science. Electricity is the greatest wonder of science. It lights in our houses, streets, hospitals, roads etc. It runs our machines, mills, trains etc. We cannot imagine our life without electricity. Science has given us wonderful means of communication. It has given us movile phones, telephones, telegraph etc. Now, we can talk to any person living in any corner in the world quite easily. It has given us cars, buses, trains, plans etc. Now, we can go to any corner in the world quite easily. It has given us cookers, coolers, A.C. etc. Now, we can do our house hold jobs quite easily and comfortably.
Negative impact of technology : Technology contributes the economic development. It can also have negative impacts like pollution, technological unemployment. Many people spend much time on their phones, computers, laptops etc. It creates many health problems such as stress, tension, low creativity, lack of attention, lack in language development, lack in social and health development.
Conclusion : Science has given us dangerous war weapons like guns, rockets, missiles, atom bombs, tanks etc. Any misuse of these weapons can destroy our beautiful world. We must use science of the welfare of mankind only. All the inventions of science must be used to make our earth more beautiful and more peaceful.
